The Best Sad Love Poems...

The best sad love poems don't always use the word "love".

The deeper meaning is often found by reading between the lines of the poem.

What's wonderful about deep sad poems is that the reader is able to decide their meaning based on their own experience and understanding.

Calm the vicious melody
A haze before the eyes
Footsteps ever following
Calm now close the eyes.
Fear and constant suffering
Pain controls the mind
Now replace the shivering
Alone inside my mind
Quiet surrender calmly
Mask the hate inside
Breathing ever softly
Visions existing for the blind
Break it down completely
Walls that shelter and divide
Calm the vicious melody
Fire silence multiply

Passive and still fuming
Wrapped in bitter, wretched lies.
Asleep and all consuming
Innocent demise.
Awake with silence soothing
Passive and still fuming
Emptiness survives.
