About Me ~ David Bohmiller...
I'm David Bohmiller, author of many of the poems you see here on Inspirational-Friendship-Poems.com.
Although poetry has been a lifelong hobby of mine, it took me awhile to get started on building this site. (I'm sure many of you with passions of your own have been in similar situations).
First off, up until about 2006 or so, I didn't have the first clue about how to go about building a website or how to make money off of one (passive income at that...my favorite kind).
All I knew was that I had friends and acquaintances that were starting to leave their full-time jobs, work from home, and spend more time with their families and do all the fun things they wanted to do.
That's when my buddy Mike of CriticalBench.com introduced me to SiteBuildIt! ~ my favorite site-building tool.
How I Built This Website...
Since that time, I've been hooked. SBI is an all-inclusive website building software that guides you via written and/or video tutorials through all the "hard stuff".
I chose the 'Do It Yourself' method, but that's only one of their 3 major options.
Their two other options are superb, too.
Since I'm a Personal Trainer / Strength Coach / General Manager by day, my first website was about health and fitness. As of this moment, it is still my most popular website in terms of traffic and daily visitors.
After about 2 years of working on my first site and introducing about 20 friends and family members to SBI, I decided to create a second website teaching people all about website building and hosting.
At that point, I was kinda hooked on website building using SBI and knew that I was going to start another site.
I narrowed my choices to either fitness or poetry (very different, I know!)
Hopefully you can guess which one I chose!
I'm Not The Only One...You Can Do It, Too...
By the way, it's not just me or even just personal trainers that are making websites using SBI. There's a whole community of others doing the same.
Here are just a few...

- Retired Men and Women who want to keep busy

- Even Local Business that survive on leads and referrals
Anyway, I thought it would be cool to not only introduce you to some of my inspirational poems, love poems, and poems for kids, but also to my website building journey with this site.
I've always been intrigued by stats and figured that by posting some updates on my traffic numbers and other similar web building adventures, that it'd give you a sneak peak and maybe help you decide upon starting your own website with SBI.

Inspirational Friendship Poems
Website Building Month #1
During month #1, I used SBI's research tools and Video Action Guide to organize my site concept and get all my keywords. That's the blueprint or outline part of the site.
Then I picked my site name using my brainstormed keywords.
And, after that I used the CTPM writing process to begin creating my content.
Oops, I almost forgot. I didn't need to know any computer code or even have to hire a graphic designer ~ all of that stuff is built in for you!
At the end of month #1 (November 2009), I had:
- 46 pages of content
- 624 unique visitors
- 1,110 total visits
- and 2,639 page views
I also ranked at #7 on Google for my main keyword phrase and received most of my traffic from the search engines (that means I didn't have to pay extra for traffic!).
Website Building Month #2
Our second month of website building kicked some major @$$. We doubled our content and our traffic and had a lot of fun doing it. Click here to read all about our SBI website building adventure in December of 2009.
Website Building Month #3
