Depression Poem
by Efrain
(Boston, MA)
I guess a depression poem fits the sad part of love and sad poems.
This is from a lonely time in life and it's sort of 2 short poems put into one. I wrote one part in the morning and one part at night on the same day.
Anyway, hope you like it (as much as you can like a depression poem).
Impassionate surrender,
Holding back the blinking eye.
Impervious forgiveness,
Caged my answers.
Never rise.
So easily disappointed,
Yet open to the truth.
I have no guard but my own,
Because of this my pains are known.
Solitary confinement,
Inside a truth that loves and keeps.
Different understandings,
Forever may we seek.
Echoing a rhythm,
Created by the rain.
Unpeaceful storms of passion,
Whipping at the frame.
Questions open,
Malcontent.
Bitter but drawn near.
Awake the stranger,
Awake my friend,
Awake our darkest fear.
