Dog Poems...

I wonder how many dog poems I've written during my lifetime.

My family has had at least one dog (and sometimes as many as 3) for as far back as I can remember.

I can even remember a time when my brother wanted to become a veterinarian partly because of the animals in our lives. (He now helps to run a non-profit dog rescue!)

Anyway, while I was looking through some of my short poems for kids, I found one about my two dogs. Enjoy!

My Two Dogs...

Muppet and Cocoa are my dogs,
One is black and one is red,
One's tall, one is short,
One came from the pound,
The other was free,
They were good buddies very quickly.
