Once upon a time, Love captured my heart in the form of a wonderful woman. In looking forward to sharing the rest of my life with her, I prepared a love poem that I planned to recite to her on the anniversary of our very first kiss.

My eyes water right now as I recall that beautiful moment.

Alas, Love does funny things and though memories will live forever in each of our hearts, minds, and souls, our vision was not to be in this lifetime.

In any event, I'll share now with you the happy poem I had planned for our special day.

Had that day arrived as I had envisioned, it would have been my most favorite of engagement stories.

Even now, I can see myself down on one knee, looking into her eyes with smiles on our faces and in our hearts. I miss you so much H.

I guess it's a good thing I didn't just short out my keyboard with my tears. And, I guess it's good that I'm okay with showing emotion and wearing my heart on my sleeve.
