There's a place inside my heart
A place I run to be apart
To be away from thoughts
Of fear, to be away
From those too near.

There's a place I like to be
A place I built for only me
For only she who knows my fear,
For only she who is so near.

There's a place I go to hide
A place I go to look inside
To look and stare at the fear
To look to try to come so near.

There's a place I used to go
A place I found so long ago
So long ago I faced my fears
So long ago I dried those tears
So recently I fell again
Inside my heart
My one true friend.
