ill miss you poems

by David Bohmiller
(Boston, MA)

Tonight I wrote one of my ill miss you poems.

Though it's been on my mind every second of every day, it feels like it's taken me eons to write this sad poem.

I'll offer no explanation other than the visible tears that fall now from my eyes and the tears that will fall forever from my heart.

In Daddy's Arms...

You walked him into heaven
His quiet, dreaming eyes
6 weeks, 3 days he clung to you
Happy, safe inside

You walked her into heaven
Her insightful, dreaming eyes
6 weeks, 3 days she clung to you
Content, alive inside

You threw him into heaven
Mommy tell me why
Joaquin will sit and wait for you
From eternity your cowardice can't hide

You threw her into heaven
Mommy tell me why
Isabel will sit and wait for you
From eternity your cowardice can't hide

You buried them in heaven
And if your heart can't hear their cries
They're waiting for their Mommy
Heather tell them why...

David Bohmiller, 5/13/2010

This should prove to be the first of countless ill miss you poems. My heart is always with you. My loves happy, safe inside.
