Im Sorry Hurting You Poems

by David Bohmiller
(Boston, MA)

I had a chance to add to the original piece on the depressing poems page and thought I'd put it in the "Im sorry hurting you poems" category.

This was a tough one to write, not in coming up with words, but in how overwhelming the emotion of writing a sad love poem can be.

Most of the time I write my poetry with faint music playing in the background. Before writing this one, I drove home with the radio off and then sat in silence for a half hour before picking up the pen.

Let me know what you think.

Here's the continuation of my deep sad poem...

Erase the smile from my face
Take away your last embrace
Search forever never find
Lasting love or quiet mind
Ripped apart and growing cold
Your mind may feel but never hold
Dark abyss alive my fear
Sent away your heart too near.

Not 100% sure it completely goes in the "Im sorry hurting you poems" category, but that's the beauty of interpreting poetry.
