lost poem

by David Bohmiller
(Boston, MA)

This is my lost poem about having done something wrong and awful that I hope is still recoverable and that I might soon be forgiven for.

Forgive but don't forget and carry forth together with brutally honest communication - that's the goal I have in mind. And, I'm hoping we agree.

Eyes Admiring...

There's not much left in me
I've proven half a man
Cowardly and pathetic
Impossible to understand
Know my heart is true though
And that I will always stand
Beside you and supporting
Eyes admiring
My wish to hold your hand
If I could start life over
I'd do it with a plan
To show that I'm truthful
That I'm an honest man
In heart, in mind, in body
Dedicated only can
But since I can't be born again
I'll close my eyes
I'll start my plan
My only hope to deserve you
My only wish you'll grasp my hand.
