Poems About Being Single...
Most poems about being single aren't fun to write.
Usually, if you're the one leaving a relationship, there may be mixed emotions, uncertainty, and a sense of emptiness.
I wrote this for my secret love who has found herself held captive in an unpleasant relationship where her things are not always her own.
Like so many heartbroken poems, this sad poem was written with the knowledge that her eyes might never see it, but that her heart would feel it.
Empty Night...
He'll never write a love poem
If mistrust is all he's got
For years he could have shown you
Now just words trying to catch up
Shower you with pretty things
But your mind he can't lock up
Take away your independence
Take away your human rights
It's only a short while then
Until he wakes
Destined to be alone
His only companion
