Sad Broken Heart Poem

This is a sad broken heart poem I wrote one night following the words of commitment from my Love, but shadowed by the fear of actions over which I had/have no control.

Implode...

Dismal and defeated
Not knowing if you'll hold
Defend against advances
Or accept what you've been told
Dreaming of tomorrow
Yet tonight is bitter cold
Protect and hold it captive
More precious than a temple made of gold
Ask of you I do now
Protect mind, body, soul
Never to allow again
If our Love will conquer
I ask this for you to show
