Sad poetry and the emotion it brings can be an overwhelming force for many.
Some say pain writes better than love.
I know that through the years, I've written more grief poems, heartbroken poems, and morbid poems than I have happy and joyous ones.
It is how I and many others heal ourselves in times of depression, fear, or anger.
The sad poem below is one I wrote about the necessity of good communication in a relationship.
When communication falters, the misunderstandings that result lead to pain, hurt, and even resentment.
In other words - the beginning of the end.
Sharing my sad poems and relationship poems is one way that I've found to save an important relationship.
It opens the lines of communication and allows both sides to reflect upon each others emotions.
Farther From Me...
Holding on forever
Demons hold on to the night
Falling farther from me
Unable to reach the light
Letting pain envelope
Let it cast away the light
Darkness lurks forever
And I couldn't see her light.
